ABOUT US:  Geethanjali College of Engineering & Technology sponsored by Teja Educational Society is established in 2005. It is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. It strives to be a high quality educational Institution by 2015 and be one of the top five colleges under JNTUH.

COURSES OFFERED: The Institution offers 4 undergraduate courses and 2 postgraduate courses. The Institution plans to conduct M.Tech courses and the approval process is underway.

INFRASTRUCTURE: A Total Built up area of 18,502 Sq. M. with an Instructional Area of 9,380 Sq. M. is available. 28 lecture halls, 45 labs, 7 seminar halls, 16 tutorial rooms, a computer centre, a library, a drawing hall, an open auditorium, ladies rest room, and other facilities.

STUDENT INTAKE:

 ECE PROFILE: The department is headed by Dr.Vipula Singh. There are 6 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 12 Assistant professors in the department. The department has 5 well equipped laboratories with state of art equipment & high end computers. The department has 4 supporting staff to assist in labs.

CSE PROFILE: The department is headed by Prof. Dr.P.V.S.Srinivas. There are 2 Professor, 5 Associate Professors and 12 Assistant professors in the department. The department has 10 well equipped labs and also has an E-Class Room. The department has 6 supporting staff to assist in labs.

EEE PROFILE: The department is headed by Prof. N.V.L.Addanki. There are 1Professor, 3 Associate Professors, 10 Assistant professors in the department. The department has 10 labs with the latest equipment. The department has 4 supporting staff to assist in labs.

IT PROFILE: The department is headed by Prof. J.Ashok. The department consists of 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors & 13 Assistant Professors. The department has 10 well equipped labs and 6 supporting staff to assist.

SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES PROFILE: The department is headed by Dr. J.Anjaiah with 5 Associate Professors, 16 Assistant professors. The department has 2 well equipped ELCS labs and 1 supporting staff in the department.

MBA PROFILE: The department is headed by Prof. Dr. M. Srinivas. There are 1Professor, 3 Associate Professors, 4 Assistant professors in the department.

MCA PROFILE: The department is headed by Mr.S.Tirupathi Rao, 1 Associate Professor,11 Assistant professors and 2 supporting staff in the department. The department has 2 well equipped labs and 2 supporting staff in the department.

LIBRARY: It holds in its premises a seating capacity of nearly 150 students. It is effectively managed with the help of EZ library software. It has 3614 titles and 15849 numbers of volumes, 73 national and 58 international journals and 09 leading national newspapers. Our library is equipped with broadband connectivity.

DIGITAL LIBRARY: A digital library was started in October 2009 with a separate server, space, internet and LAN connected. With 308 courses and 8531 e-books/files it has an average of 150 users per day.

QUALITY CONTROL: All the teaching methodologies both in theory and lab go through stringent quality control procedures before they reach the students. Prof. P. Vijai Bhasker is in charge.
R&D: The Institution is planning to set up an R&D centre with already 4 labs earmarked for research and the process of proposal approval of underway.

CACHE (CENTRE FOR ADVANCEMENT OF CAREER AND HUMAN EXCELLENCE) CACHE is a unique feature of the institution which caters to the student’s personal development in totality. It consists of a training wing and a placement wing. Dr. Mrudula Lakkaraju is in charge.
TRAINING WING: The focus of training is on Communication Skills, Aptitude, and Soft Skills, developing the Confidence of Students, improving their Body Language & inculcating Creativity. A special collection of books is maintained at CACHE for students.

PLACEMENT WING: Geethanjali has a total of 275 eligible students in 08 and 09 pass outs and were successful in getting 245 offers. A placement percentage of 90% has been achieved. Including the 2010 passouts for whom the placement activity is still in progress the collective no of offers are 312. Our students have been placed in the following organizations: Satyam Computers Services Ltd, L&T InfoTech Ltd, Assurgent Technologies Ltd, SASKEN Communications Ltd, Dell International Services LTD, ICICI prudential life insurance Ltd, Cognizant Technology solutions Ltd, etc.,

ACADEMICS:

Student centric teaching is adopted through
•extensive course material is prepared
•projects are taken up in the final year
•semester lab manuals are prepared
•regular feedback is taken from the students
•students are asked to give seminars regularly

The students’ attendance is meticulously recorded day wise in Sero Soft software specially designed for this purpose. Students and parents are given login IDs and passwords to monitor their attendance online. The overall student all subject pass percentage is 60% and the Institution is ranked at 21st position in the list of 299 JNTU affiliated engineering colleges.
MOUs: Sun Microsystems, Oracle & OSI Technologies have signed MOUs with the Institution.

STUDENT CHAPTERS: CSI, IETE & IEEE chapters are functional in the Institution.
BHASWARA: A national level technical paper and project presentation congress “BHASWARA” has been organized every academic year from its year of inception to invite participants all over the country and also give our students a platform to showcase their talent on.

ROBOTRONIX WORKSHOP: A two day robotronics workshop was organized by the ECE department for the students of GCET. The workshop was conducted by Technophilia, Mumbai. (Associated with IIT, Kharagpur)

FARADAY INNOVATION CLUB: A platform to encourage innovative ideas in students has been created by EEE Dept. Students get ample opportunity to experiment in the form of projects and paper presentations.

ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT CELL: As part of entrepreneur development cell various activities like presentations from bank officials; interaction with real time entrepreneurs and a one day workshop on entrepreneurship were conducted.

GEETHANJALI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION: The alumni association was registered and the first alumni meet was held to encourage communication with the Institution’s alumni on 15-03-10.

SCHOLARSHIPS: The students who excel academically each year are rewarded with RAJA REDDY MEMORIAL & NARASIMHA REDDY MEMORIAL cash prizes of Rs10, 000 each.

INDUSTRY INTERACTION: There is a channel of continuous activity called Industry interaction, which happens through guest lectures, seminars & Industrial visits.

NSS: A very effective NSS unit is functional in the college organizing, blood donation camps, free eye check up camps and collection of relief for the recent flood victims.

RECREATION: Life is not just academics. So we want to prove at Geethanjali. Our four clubs Fine Arts and Cultural Club, Mathematic Club, Literary Club & Environmental club give the students ample opportunity to experiment with and experience life to the fullest.

VIBGYOR: An inter-collegiate cultural fest named VIBGYOR is conducted every year. The participants and the judges lauded the effort and impressed upon the need to have many more such events to create an opportunity for the students.

ALFABETIKA: A wide variety of literary competitions were conducted by the literary club providing a platform to encourage talent among students.

VIBES: Annual Day celebrations are conducted every academic year with the official ceremony where the Principal of the college will be presenting the annual report of the Institutions progress and The Hon’ble secretary presents the future activities of the college with the award ceremony as the finale of official function. The awards are given away for excellence in sports and extra curricular activities.

SPORTS FACILITY: Basket ball, volley ball, badminton, throw ball, tennikoit courts with an indoor sports room which houses table tennis & caroms are present within reach of the student.

TRANSPORT: Driven by a team of trained drivers 19 buses for students and 2 buses for staff ply from all places catering to the need for comfortable and hassle free transport.

CANTEEN: The canteen is aesthetically designed and has a wide range of delicious and nutritious eateries prepared under hygienic conditions. Students find the ambience soothing and the place is just right for them to unwind.
